Animal Pictures

The animals found under the category "Animals" in this library are either living in complete freedom or are well taken care of and treated in non-exploitive ways at animal sanctuaries.

Pictures of Abused or Exploited Animals

I have included Dairy Industry, Zoo Clips and Zoo Pictures in my library. Other pictures of abused or exploited animals can be found at Farm Sanctuary, The Animals Voice and animal-liberation.tk. Warning: these links contain very shocking pictures. Choose carefully whether you want to view them.

Farm Sanctuary

Some pictures in this library were taken during my visits to the Farm Sanctuary shelter in New York. At their shelters, Farm Sanctuary takes care of animals who were rescued from stockyards, factory farms and slaughterhouses. That's why you will see signs of abuse - like cut-of beaks or horns or missing limbs - on the animals on the pictures. After having admired and supported their work for many years, I had the great honor to spend some time there. I was very touched by how loving the people working there treat the animals. They absolutely deserve your support!

Many thanks to Susie from Farm Sanctuary for providing the names of most of the animals for me!
