Quotes by Monica Richards:

When asked why she became vegan, she answered:
"Watching Peaceable Kingdom was the deciding factor for me - it merged the horror of factory farming with the emotional needs of animals, it clicked for me. Before that, the Disconnect was strong, loving baby chicks but eating chicken was not something I thought of. Now that I know what I know, I wish I had learned it all when I was a child..."
"In America, you’re surrounded by burgers and fries, and though it is getting slightly easier to find a veggie burger in the heartland, trying to get fresh, true meals is really rough. In Europe you have access to fresh food more often."

Quotes are from an interview with Faith and the Muse for Kilter magazine and her 2010 interview with All Things Girl.
