Biz Stone

Born Christopher Isaac Stone on March 10, 1974. He became an Internet entrepreneur in 1999 and went on to work for Google. He then co-founded Twitter, which was launched in 2006. In 2011, he co-founded The Obvious Corporation to focus on building systems that help people work together to improve the world. He was named Nerd of the Year in 2009 by GQ magazine and one of the Most Influential People in The World by TIME. He is the author of the books Blogging: Genius Strategies for Instant Web Content and Who Let The Blogs Out?. You can check out his blog and of course his own twitter account.

Together with his wife Livia, he runs the Biz and Livia Stone Foundation, which supports education and conservation efforts throughout California. He became vegan in 2000, after visiting the New York shelter of Farm Sanctuary. In 2011, he appeared on Martha Stewart's The Vegan Show, together with Kathy Freston and Gene Baur.

A home video made by Biz Stone about Farm Sanctuary's Celebration FOR the Turkeys:

Quote by Biz Stone:

"My wife and I have been vegan and have been supporting Farm Sanctuary for a decade [interview 2010]. We started out in New York city. I actually became vegan, once I visited the Watkins Glen facility there. Just even 2 minutes into some of this teaching about factory farming and I was sold. I have become a happy vegan ever since. We've adopted many of the animals, both here [Orland, California facility] and New York."
