I love to cook, I love to eat good food, I love the animals and the earth, and I want to keep myself and
my husband healthy. Those are my motivations, and they are just about in that order of importance.
I've cooked since before I can even remember, according to my mother (and I'm a 54 year-old
grandmother now!), so cooking has always been something I love-- love to read about, love to do,
love to share, love to write about. It kind of defines me, or part of me, anyway.!

It's a shame that the title is so specifically aimed at women, I'm a man and find just as much pleasure in cooking from this book! Bryanna's name is always a guarantee for excellent vegan cooking, and this book - concentrating on incorporating soy foods in your everyday cooking - is no exception. Although this book comes off somewhat less impressive after such genuine masterpieces as her Italian and Chinese cookbooks, this is a fine book for everyday vegan cooking with tofu, soymilk and textured soy protein. Most of the recipes, however, have been published in her previous books - do try her "breast of tofu" (a/k/a tofu chicken) recipe (which we've become addicted to!), her incredible lasagna, the unusual but tasty sea-style chowders, tofu tandoori kebabs, and the incredible Soy Seitan Turkey (with a yuba skin!) ... mmm! If you're gonna order it, get her "Fiber For Life" cookbook as well as this compliments this one excellently.
