Meatout March 20th
Caring people around the world hold Meatout events. People are asked to kick the meat habit (at least for a day) and explore a nonviolent diet.

World Week for Animals in Laboratories April 22 - April 28 (2007)
World Week for Animals in Laboratories (WWAIL) is an annual event designed to expose the plight of animals used for testing and research. In Defense of Animals (IDA) is the international coordinator for WWAIL.

Global Boycott P&G Day May 19th (2007)
Each year, usually the third Saturday in May, Uncaged organizes a global boycott against the world's largest consumer products company Procter & Gamble (P&G). Extremely cruel animal tests are used in P&G's 'product safety research'. For more information about P&G's animal testing, please click here. International Primate Day September 1st
Founded by Animal Defenders International, International Primate Day is used to highlight the threats to primates. The four major threats primates face are: bushmeat, laboratories, pet trade and entertainment.

11th International Vegan Festival September 30 to October 6, 2007
The 11th International Vegan Festival will be held in
Byndoor, India.
The festival includes accommodation, vegan food, workshops, seminars, exhibitions and entertainment (coastal cruises, adventure sports, trekking, sight-seeing tour, etc.).

Walk for Farm Animals Around October 2nd
The Walk for Farm Animals helps fund Farm Sanctuary's rescue and protection campaigns. Farm Sanctuary is an animal protection organization that provides care for hundreds of animals rescued from factory farms, stockyards and slaughterhouses. They also work to gain legal protection for animals and to raise public awareness.

Gandhi's Birthday October 2nd
Mahatma Gandhi was a political and spiritual leader of India and the Indian Independence Movement. He inspired movements for civil rights and freedom around the world. He was very committed to nonviolence, which included both humans and animals. He was a vegetarian and once said that "The greatness of a nation can be judged by the way its animals are treated.".
World Farm Animals Day October 2nd
Launched in 1983 to expose, mourn, memorialize, and mitigate the suffering of billions of innocent, sentient animals in the world's factory farms and slaughterhouses.

World Animal Day October 4th
World Animal Day takes place each year on October 4th. Animal welfare groups, sanctuaries and individuals around the world hold special events to heighten public awareness of animal issues and to encourage people to think about how we as humans relate to animals.

World Vegan Day November 1st
An annual celebration of all things vegan!

International Animal Rights Day December 10th
On (or around) December 10th, candlelight vigils are organized throughout the world at locations where the rights of animals are ignored - where animals suffer pain and death.
